My whole life I always knew I wanted to be involved in inpatient health care. When I found audiology in college, I knew it would be the perfect way for me to build a strong foundation with patients while providing them with exceptional care. Being an audiologist is the most rewarding career because it enables me to make a positive impact on a person’s life through quality hearing and what can I say….I love hearing aids!

“I received my Doctorate in Audiology from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, California. I then went to Santa Barbara for my clinical fellowship and transitioned from a doctoral student to audiologist at an ENT clinic and private practice. I have experience in diagnostics, balance testing, and hearing aid dispensing amongst all ages. I truly enjoy being an audiologist because every day I get the opportunity to enhance patients’ lives through better hearing.

“One of my most memorable moments was when I saw a patient who almost gave up on his life due to his extreme Tinnitus. He was running out of all options and could not find anything to help. I told him that hearing aid tinnitus maskers could be extremely beneficial for him and did a demonstration in my office. He immediately burst into tears because it was the first time in 10 years he was not bothered by his tinnitus. Once he received his pair of hearing aids he told me his life had drastically changed for the better and I saved his life. He gave me the biggest hug and said “audiologists are truly miracle workers”. He reminds me why I love what I do.
